Gamma Phi Beta has a long history of outstanding philanthropic and community service. Although not founded as a philanthropic organization, giving back to the community is an important part of our chapter. As an organization committed to women, we envision a community in which every girl and woman has the resiliency necessary to advance her own life and the lives of others. Our philanthropic activities aim to provide experiences and resources that build spiritual, mental and social resiliency in girls. Some philanthropic projects are fund raisers and others involve service. Our chapter does both while focusing as much as possible on the Sorority’s international philanthropy, Campfire USA.
Spring 2008, Gamma Phi Beta will be hosting their 4th annual Pancake Breakfast. This all-you-can eat event is open to the public and is always a fun way for the women of Gamma Phi Beta to raise money for their local charity. The fundraising efforts of Gamma Phi Beta have raised more than $2,000 per year for local Campfire’s. In 2006-2007, Gamma Phi Beta chapters have raised an astounding $137,640 for local camps and Camp Fire USA! For more information on Campfire USA, please visit www.campfire.org .
